The Northern Beaches

Just north of Sydney are some of the loveliest beaches around, but I have never been able to make the trip up until this past weekend. Manly Beach is very popular, but the further north you go, the quieter and more deserted they get. At the northern most point of what is still considered Sydney is Palm Beach, so we drove right up there and wound our way down. Palm Beach is only an hour drive from the city, and there are six or seven perfectly gorgeous beaches along the way. My favorite is Whale Beach, where the photo here was taken. It was a bit cloudy on the day, but the views from the cliffs are spectacular... no matter what the weather is like! It was a fantastic little "daycation" and I'll definitely be going back as soon as summer comes our way.

Coming to America

Yes I am! It will be over a year by then so I think I'm about due. Dear Mother Nature, can you keep it at least a little bit warmer for me? This Sydneysider isn't used to the cold anymore!

I'll be in Connecticut November 5th-10th, NY until the 16th, and then I fly to LA until the 19th. I hope I catch up with everyone in at least one of those places!

Very exciting!

Fiji Deuce

I just got back from another trip to Fiji. I never thought I'd visit the island in my lifetime, and karma has it that I've been able to go twice in just two months. This time around was just for the weekend... an all-expense paid trip for a work conference. The best part? The "work" was a 90 minute meeting! Other than that, my colleague and I got to hang by the pool, eat, drink and chill for a glorious three days. Check out the photos here:

What a lucky gal I am!
