Last week I celebrated my second Australia Day! It's similar to Fourth of July and this year we had perfect weather, so I spent the day down on Bondi Beach eating Mexican (go figure) and cycling with friends.
Bondi is home to the Havaianas Thong Challenge, a event where hundreds of people mount giant inflatable flip flops and join together in an attempt to create the longest thong chain. It's really weird.
Anyway, each of the seven states in compete against each other and this year New South Wales lost by 40 people to Western Australia, who had 1,301 people on inflatable flip flops at the same time. Ridiculous. http://www.havaianasthongchallenge.com.au/
