I started my new job this week as PR Manager for a well known Wealth Management company here in Sydney. It couldn't be more different from what I am used to, but so far it's both exciting and challenging. The most difficult part is definitely getting used to the lingo and trying to figure out what the heck everything means! The PR part is all the same though, and I'm jumping right in with the publicity for a visit from the treasurer and deputy prime minister next week. It probably doesn't sound very exciting, but it's pretty cool to get a little more involved in politics and finance... after all, I'm probably going to need that kind of knowledge if I ever decide to grow up. Not that beauty and booze weren't riveting! :)
One good thing is that I can drink other beers in public now! The photo here is of my friend Bernadette and I at an event for AustraliaINFront, proudly supported by Asahi. Yeah, even now that I'm "Corporate Chelsea", life is good!
